Care, without ceremony
Good cotton gets better with wear. The print needs a little common sense.
Treat the tee like a printed garment, not a bath towel. A cool wash, a calm spin and air drying preserve the jersey, the collar and the illustrated plate.
Inside out, cold
Turn the tee inside out. Wash at 30°C or below with similar colours and a mild detergent. Choose a gentle cycle and avoid overloading the drum.
Air over heat
Reshape while damp and dry in the shade. High tumble-dryer heat is the fastest route to shrinkage, stressed fibres and a print that ages before its time.
Never iron the artwork
If an iron is necessary, keep the tee inside out, use low heat and stay away from the printed area. Steam lightly rather than pressing hard.
No bleach, no dry clean
Bleach attacks both pigment and cotton. Dry cleaning chemistry and aggressive stain treatments are equally unnecessary for an everyday jersey.
The first wash rule.
Wait at least 24 hours after delivery before the first wash, then follow the four steps below every time. If any label on the garment gives different instructions, that label takes precedence.
- Empty pockets, close zips on other garments and turn the tee inside out.
- Wash cool with similar colours and a modest amount of detergent.
- Shake out, reshape the shoulders and hang or lay flat away from hard sun.
- Fold once fully dry. Save the hanger for the jacket.
