Size Guide

Measured flat on the finished garment

Our tees run boxy on purpose: dropped shoulders, a slightly cropped body, room through the chest. Take your usual size for that look. Go one up if you want it swimming.

Garment measurements

These are the dimensions of the tee itself, not of your body. The chest is given two ways — as the full circumference, and as the flat measurement from armpit to armpit, which is the one you can check at home against a tee you already own.

How to check at home

Forget your body measurements for a minute. The fastest way to get this right is to measure a tee you already like wearing.

  1. Take a tee whose fit you'd happily repeat. Lay it flat on a table, front up, and smooth out the wrinkles.
  2. Measure straight across from one armpit seam to the other. That's your flat chest number.
  3. Measure from the highest point of the shoulder down to the hem. That's your body length.
  4. Find the closest row in the table above. If you land between two sizes, take the larger one — this cut is meant to hang.

Reading the fit

A boxy tee behaves differently from a standard one. Two numbers do most of the work:

Flat chest decides how much the body drapes. Ours runs wide on purpose, so compare it with a tee you already own rather than with a size label.

Shoulder decides where the sleeve seam lands. Ours is dropped, so the seam sits below the shoulder bone rather than on it. That's intentional, not a size error.

Between two sizes? Size up. The cut is designed to sit away from the body, and the shorter body length means a larger size doesn't turn into a nightshirt.

Keeping it that shape

Heavyweight cotton holds its drape for years if you treat the print kindly. Wash cold and inside out on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent. No bleach, no soaking, no wringing. Hang dry away from direct sun. If you iron, do it inside out, on a low setting, and never straight onto the print.
